. 67% of the population state that money worries cause them anxiety.
. Only 19% of the population say they have no anxiety over money.
. Money worries are evenly spread over region and social class. Surprisingly the most affluent scored 3.1 average worry, while those in the least affluent group score just higher with 3.2.
. 18-24 year olds are most relaxed about money scoring on average 2.8, compared to 35-54 year olds scoring 3.3. Older people are also somewhat more relaxed with over 65s scoring 2.9.
. Money worries are worst in Northern Ireland with only 3% saying they don't worry at all and 77% scoring anxiety at 3 and above.
. Money worries affect those who are in work more than those out of work, with full-time workers scoring a mean average of 3.3, compared to just 3.0 in the unemployed.
