Lifestyle

Mental health can be greatly influenced by lifestyle factors. While professional help should be sought if you are suffering symptoms of a mental illness, there is much you can do to help yourself manage your condition in conjunction with any health care you may be receiving from a qualified practitioner.

For example:

  • Diet
  • Fitness
  • General physical health
  • Sleep
  • Healthy daily routine
  • Relaxation

Can all have an effect upon your state of mind.

It is amazing how much impact a poor diet can have on mental health. For example blood sugar fluctuations, dehydration, and stimulants such as white sugar, caffeine and alcohol, have all been linked with anxiety symptoms.

Exercise has been proven incredible helpful in the fight against depression and there are many medical centres around the country writing 'exercise prescriptions' as the benefits of physical fitness are well documented.

Of course we are not suggesting all ills can be cured by healthy living, but we do strongly advocate a healthy lifestyle and the improvements this can make on your overall quality of life.

Each of our specialist areas:

  • Fitness
  • Food
  • Sleep
  • Relaxation
  • Sex talk
  • Men's health

Look at how changes that you can make can benefit you. Please note any major life changes including diet, exercise or homeopathic medicines, should be discussed with you healthcare professional.
